In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating custom and commercial test equipment critical to the functional verification and performance assurance of ADASI's UAV platforms. From automated test benches to hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulators and diagnostic tools, you will lead test systems that ensure accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with aerospace defense standards. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the mission-readiness and reliability of advanced unmanned systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop custom test equipment (hardware and software) for avionics, propulsion, and communication systemsDefine technical requirements for ATE, integration benches, and simulation rigsDevelop and automate test scripts using LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, etc.Integrate test platforms with telemetry, DAQ systems, and real-time HIL environmentsEnsure compliance with aerospace protocols: MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN Bus, EthernetSupport V&V activities including calibration, root cause analysis, and preventive maintenanceProvide support during platform, subsystem, and environmental testing campaignsMaintain technical documentation, version control, and test equipment manualsRequired QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics, or Systems Engineering (required)Master's degree in Test Systems or Automation Engineering (preferred)Experience:10+ years in aerospace, UAV, or defense test equipment developmentProven experience building ATE, integration rigs, or HIL setups for complex systemsFamiliarity with safety-critical hardware/software testing and validationTechnical ToolsProgramming: LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++Tools: Data acquisition systems, signal conditioning, PCB debugging toolsStandards: MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 429, CAN, EthernetSystems Engineering: DOORS or equivalent requirements toolsHardware: Cable harnessing, interface boards, calibration equipmentIdeal AttributesStrong systems-thinking and diagnostic skillsExceptional attention to detail, process control, and test coverageComfortable working independently or as part of a cross-functional teamAdaptable and solution-oriented in a high-paced aerospace development environmentProficient in documenting complex systems and troubleshooting proceduresWhy Join ADASIAt ADASI, you'll work with some of the brightest minds in the defense and aerospace industry.
