Job Description :IRIS Executives, an Executive Search firm, is urgently looking for a VP Human Capital for one of its largest clients in Dubai.Job Title: VP Human CapitalJob Location: DubaiRemuneration: CompetitiveBenefits:· Annual Airfare: Return business class tickets (cash equivalent) for the employee, spouse, and up to three children under 19, to your home country.· Education Allowance: 1 child: AED 72,000 / 2 children: AED 144,000 / 3 or more children: AED 216,000· Annual Leave: 42 calendar days· Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM and Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM· Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus (not guaranteed; subject to individual and company performance).· Medical Insurance: Comprehensive coverage for the employee, spouse, and up to three children.Our client is a world-renowned leader in the aviation industry with 400 employees.Job Responsibilities:Working with the senior leadership team, the VP Human Capital is responsible for all aspects of workforce management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, staff development and organisation design. A key responsibility is to formulate and implement the policies and plans necessary to deliver the company strategic goals.This role will work closely with the senior leadership team and Dubai Government Department of Finance on manpower planning and budgeting.Key Accountabilities
  • Leading all aspects of human capital operations and strategy including compliance with labour laws, recruiting, training, coaching, employee relations, performance management, compensation, culture, organizational design and developing the company employees to their maximum potential.
  • Act as a strategic business advisor to the CEO, SVPs and VPs regarding key organizational and management issues. Working closely with the HODs to evolve key organizational and management topics and goals. Work with the strategy team during the business planning process to translate the strategy into the departmental manpower plans and structures.
  • Directly contributing to the development and accomplishment of organization plans and objectives through human capital strategy, by establishing and implementing HR policies that communicate and support the company vision.
  • Managing comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive, cost effective and drive talent acquisition and retention.
  • Providing daily support to the organization, adapting communication styles as necessary to build relationships and drive employee engagement.
  • Development and implementation of a robust recruitment strategy embedded into the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Supporting the development of management and leadership development initiatives to enhance capability across the organisation.
  • Undertakes similar or related duties as directed by top management.
Safety & Security
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure all team members are trained and held accountable.
  • Support emergency preparedness and business continuity planning.
To qualify for this role, you must have:
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in increasingly senior roles, 10 of which are in managerial roles, encompassing wide exposure to all aspects of Human Capital leadership.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a HR Director role within a large-sized organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting overall HR strategy including organization design, talent management, workforce planning, policy development, compensation and benefits.
  • Has participated in Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGE) or similar corporate excellence frameworks (e.g., EFQM), with direct involvement in HR-related criteria and evidence preparation.
  • Knowledge of the UAE employment laws and their application to government and private entities.
  • Fluent English speaker/writer, and a working knowledge of Arabic is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited university.
  • Master’s degree in business administration or one of the fields mentioned above is a plus.
  • Preferably a CIPD/PHR/SPHR certified.
